The Yemen Peace Project (YPP) is pleased to announce that the first-ever International Yemeni Film & Arts Festival will be coming to New York City on January 25 – 26. Hosted by the YPP and NYU’s Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies and co-sponsored by CUNY MEMEAC, this two-day event will include screenings of 17 films, discussions with filmmakers and other special guests, exhibitions of new photography from Yemen, and a special musical performance.

Photographs will be on display in the Kevorkian Center’s lobby and library from 1:00pm – 8:30pm on Saturday the 25th, and 1:00pm – 7:00pm on Sunday the 26th.

Screenings in the Center’s auditorium will begin at 1:30pm on Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday.

A full schedule is available at www.yemenpeaceproject.org/filmfestival/nyc/. Festival passes are $25.00, with discounts available for groups that book in advance. Admission to single screenings is $5.00.
